Charlie McConalogue, Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine recently announced the extension of GLAS contracts for GLAS Tranches 1,2 and 3. Details on how farmers can extend their GLAS contracts for the extended scheme year 2022 can be found here.

Farmers with current GLAS contracts for GLAS tranches 1, 2 and 3, are due to expire on December 31st, 2021, availing of the extension will extend their contract until 31st December 2022.

Information packs have been issued by the DAFM to current active participants. Only current GLAS participants can avail of the extension and they must do so by the deadline of December 10th, 2021.

How to Apply (Existing GLAS contracts only):

  • Applications must be submitted by applicant or by agent by logging on to agfood.ie
  • A text message will issue to each participant who is registered with the DAFM to receive texts, giving the option to reply ‘DAFM Y’ (for Yes) or ‘DAFM N’ (for No) to extend their participation in the scheme.

Participants will have 72 hours from receipt of the text message to reply.
