Minister Pippa Hackett has launched support for the Beekeeper Sector in Ireland with the National Apiculture Programme to run from 2023 until 2027.
This programme will be support and advice for the beekeeping sector and will aim to provide technical assistance to beekeepers and assist with combatting beehive invaders and diseases.
It will also assist specialist bodies to co-operate with the implementation of any applied research programmes in this field. This will allow for interested academic institutes to collaborate and demonstrate their research capabilities.
