On the 6th of October 2022, the Minister for Rural and Community Development, Heather Humphreys, officially opened rural projects across County Wexford which have received funding of over €6 million from her department. Each of these projects were funded under Our Rural Future, the ambitious whole-of-government policy for rural Ireland for the period 2021-2025.
Several of the projects opened on the day received funding under the LEADER programme including Ferns Community Gym & Walking Track Lights at St Aidan’s GAA, Clongeen Community Development Centre, Our Lady’s Island Project, and High Meadows Community Hub. More details are available here.
